Lions Induct New Member
By Joseph A. Papavero

On Thursday, April 25th, the Maspeth Lions inducted new member, Tommaso Izzo, owner and operator of Three Sons Restaurant in Maspeth.  Tom is a lifetime resident of Maspeth and is the longtime proprietor of his Italian restaurant and pizzeria on 61st Street off of Grand Avenue.  Over the past 25+ years, Tom has been a great friend to the Maspeth Lions.  Each year, he has donated all of the pizza pies – enough to feed over 100 children – for the Lions’ annual Christmas party for underprivileged children, which is held at St. Stanislaus Parish Hall each December.  He has also hosted a number of club meetings at his establishment over the years.  Tom is a great Maspeth guy who donates a lot of his time and his food to different community causes, such as the Holiday Meals on Wheels program with the Knights of Columbus and various St. Stanislaus Church events.  The club looks forward to Tom’s continued involvement in club programs and events.

Lions Joe Papavero and Joe Abramaitis induct new Lion Member Tomasso Izzo.
